Wingardium Leviosa

So I have already been in London for almost a week and a lot has happened. I am going to try and slowly catch up on this whole blogging thing, but it is hard since I have been going non-stop since I arrived.

First, the plane ride. All in all, it was pretty painless. I did say good-bye to my parents at the security check and my mom started to cry, which made me want to cry, but I held it in pretty good. I got one last look at my parents as I was walking away towards my gate, G9, not 9 and 3/4. As I walked to my gate, this odd feeling of loneliness washed over me and for the first time in all this preparation, I felt scared of what could happen to me or my family in these next three and a half months. It last for about two seconds until a rush of confidence struck my heart strings and I started to talk proud again.

I sat at the gate for what seemed like an eternity, and I tried to calm my nerves by buying a drink, but the cheapest beverage was like 12 dollars. So I was like F that noise and just waited it out by reading. I sat by a bunch of other CAPA students on the plan which was really reassuring and relaxing. It also helped me make friends right away. And it was good to know that they were all having the same worries and emotions I was experiencing. For me the ride went fast, I watched four amazing episodes of 'Mad Men,' as well as episodes of 'The Office' and '30 Rock.' I got the chicken meal and had a hearty Heineken to wash it down. There was mild turbulence throughout the flight, so i tried to stay buckled up for the majority of the trip. I did arrive safely and a CAPA staff member, Joe, helped me get to my flat on Praed Street. Well, I have to get to my first Living Theatre in London class, but don't worry I will update soon with real information about London and my wonderful experience thus far!
