Reparo!

Unfortunately, with less than two weeks before the hop over the pond, a dark virus attacked my poor computer and I am starting a long, strenuous process to repair it. I bought anti-virus software which did help out a lot by getting rid of six different infections. However, it did not remove the main virus because it disguised itself as a Windows program and therefore the software cannot detect it! UGH! So...I've started to backup all of my files onto discs in order to restore my whole laptop to its original condition. A big project, but it has to be done before I leave for The Big Smoke.

Right before my computer broke down, I received an e-mail informing me of my housing assignments and roommates. I will be occupying Praed Street Flat 10 with four other guys: Sam Shiff (UMASS) Illia Mahuchy (UMASS) Ruslan Gusyatnikov (UMN) Paul Stucker (UMN). Praed Street is an excellent location in central London in the Paddington neighborhood near the northwest corner of Hyde Park. I've located my flat on Google Maps and couldn't be happier about the location.

I am currently visiting my home in good ole Nebraska, USA for a short week of much needed family time before I fly out on September 1st, which I just discovered is the first day of classes at Hogwarts every year. I swear, no matter how much we have in common, I am not related to Harry Potter and I am not going to Hogwarts!

  1. Your blog may be HP themed, but check out my day trip that played out EXACTLY like seasons 1-4 of LOST!
